Energy & Environmental Hedge Funds: The New Investment Paradigm

New Book:

Energy & Environmental Hedge Funds

By Peter C. Fusaro & Dr. Gary M. Vasey

EHFC co-founders have combined again to write the book on energy hedge funds- literally!

As the world's energy markets continue to grow, there is a growing need for professional literature on the subject. Sustained higher energy prices are now driving investment interest at an unprecedented level into the energy sector and that is spilling over into the clean technology and environmental financial markets. Energy and Environmental Hedge Funds: The New Investment Paradigm is the first book to cover the universe of energy hedge funds by strategy and to discuss the significant opportunities that they are responding to, not just in energy and energy-related commodities, but across the energy industry in general including equities, debt, assets, alternative energy, carbon and emissions trading, 'green' plays, and arbitrage.

Energy Hedge Funds Center Directory

12 Month Subscription

$1495

The Energy Hedge Funds Center Directory provides basic information on Hedge Funds that are active in the energy industry whether trading energy commodities, playing in distressed assets or investing in energy companies. Hedge Funds are highly secretive and it is difficult to obtain information about them and their strategies. This new InfoGrid, developed and maintained in association with Global Change Associates (www.global-change.com) will be updated monthly. It is certainly not the complete picture and some of the fund information is incomplete but it centralizes information on funds in energy for the first time.

The Energy Hedge Newsletter

We have launched Energy Hedge to provide continuing coverage of the emerging energy and environmental hedge fund world. While its predecessor publication, Fusaro Focus, presented itself in a big way, we felt that two heads were better than one, so Peter Fusaro is now joined by Dr. Gary M. Vasey. Their combined insights should lead to interesting commentary and helpful investment ideas. They also don’t always agree so two points of view are better than one.

We hope that you enjoy and learn from this new electronic publication.

The newsletter is now free - please visit the EHFC website to subscribe today.

GreenTrading™ Markets:
How Environmental Financial Markets Work

By Peter C. Fusaro, Global Change Associates Inc.
Cyndy Wilson, Catalytics
Dr. Gary Vasey, Utilipoint International Inc.

April 2005

NOTE: this is a PDF format document that you may download after purchase.

GreenTrading markets are over ten years old, but they are rapidly evolving into full-fledged global markets with large and diverse numbers of participants. The oldest is the sulfur dioxide (SO2) market, which began operations in 1995. The successes of the SO2 market have exceeded the expectations of most participating in its design, an outstanding achievement for what is at its essence a government sponsored program. As a result, the principles of emissions trading markets were extended to nitrogen oxides (NOX) and greenhouse gases (GHGs), while a corollary market has developed for renewable energy credits. Each of these markets is dynamic and is evolving to accommodate more participants and to increase the efficacy of measures to improve the environment.

Energy is a Risky Business
Tuesday 16 August, 2005 Viewed:3042

(PRWEB) August 15, 2005 -- Energy trading is not for amateurs who think that they just bring over forex traders for a swing at the fences and get those great returns. Well, get real folks, some experienced but lesser talented hedge fund managers have blown up. Some big losses at investment banks in oil trading recently are also showing that energy risk is real, deep, complex and getting substantially more risky.
